Privacy & the Mallowin email
Last updated 11 August 2026
Mallowin is a small, independent studio. This page explains exactly what happens if you give us your email address. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What we collect
Only what the sign-up form asks for, plus a record that you agreed:
- Your email address.
- A record of your consent — the exact wording you agreed to, the version of it, and the date and time.
- Your IP address and browser at the moment you signed up. We keep this only as proof that the consent was genuine, and to stop automated abuse of the form.
We do not ask for your name, your child's name, their age, or anything else. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
Why we collect it
To send you a short weekly email when new Mallowin videos are published — a title, a line about each, and a link. Nothing else. We will not sell, rent or share your address with anyone.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you gave by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
Where it is stored
On our own hosting, in a file that is not reachable from the public internet. If we later move the list to an email delivery service in order to send the newsletter, we will name that service here before any address is transferred to it.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until the newsletter stops — whichever comes first. If we ever stop sending it, we delete the list rather than keep it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe — every email will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
- See what we hold about you, or have it corrected.
- Have it deleted — ask and it is removed, with no questions and no attempt to talk you out of it.
For any of these, write to office@mallowin.com and we will act on it.
Children
Mallowin's videos are made for very young children, but this website and its email are for parents and carers. The sign-up is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects what you agreed to, we will ask again rather than assume. The date at the top always shows the current version.
